2020 Petroleum Safety Conference Cancelled

March 13, 2020

The 2020 Petroleum Safety Conference has been cancelled.
In accordance with Alberta Health Services guidance, the 2020 Petroleum Safety Conference and all pre-conference and social events scheduled to take place on April 28 to April 30, 2020 have been cancelled.

Today marks the first time in 70 years that the PSC has been cancelled. Yesterday, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Deena Hinshaw issued a statement requesting all large gatherings in the province to be cancelled as part of a new aggressive public health measure. Energy Safety Canada supports this effort to keep our communities safe.

Energy Safety Canada has instituted a flexible refund policy that provides registrants, exhibitors and sponsors the option to apply their payment to the 2021 conference or receive a full refund by March 31, 2020. More details regarding refunds and transfers will be sent to you within the next week.

Each year, we look forward to hosting event participants at the Petroleum Safety Conference and we want to thank all speakers, participants, exhibitors, sponsors and program planning teams for creating an event that would have made a lasting impression on our industry’s efforts to advance safety.

As always, we appreciate your continued support.

The event team is available to answer your questions: PSC@Buksa.com and 780.436.0983 ext. 234.

Sincerely,

Murray Elliott
