ESC Courses Update | September 2021

On September 15, 2021, Energy Safety Canada (ESC) will release new and revised online programs.

Four courses were previously offered by Suncor and will now be offered exclusively through ESC, two courses are revised ESC courses. While these courses will be available for registration in September, Suncor has directed their subcontractors to begin accessing these courses through ESC on October 15, 2021.

All Courses Will:

  • Be ESC branded
  • Include a proctored exam
  • Be available on ESC’s website on September 15, 2021 and available for general registration.

What Workers Need to Know:

  • Certificates for any of these courses remain valid.
  • If an Alberta OHS legislation course was completed after June 2018 from any training provider, workers do not have to take the OHS Legislation Awareness course.
