Hosted by Energy Safety Canada Saskatchewan (ESC SK) in collaboration with the Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB).
Join us for an in-person information session with Garry Hamblin from the Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board Employer Advisory Centre. This session is designed to provide employers with practical insights, tools and steps for navigating the WCB claim appeal process and guidance on improving workplace safety and managing compensation.

About the Presenter: Garry Hamblin brings nearly 40 years of experience in insurance, mediation, and workers’ compensation. He spent 27 years with SGI, participating in hundreds of mediations and appeals, and nearly nine years with the SK WCB, adjudicating more than 2,300 Tribunal decisions.

Causal Reasoning Workshop
This two-day workshop equips participants with the tools and insights needed to apply causal reasoning to real-world incidents. With a focus on an investigative mindset, the session reveals the underlying causes of performance outcomes.
Through guided exploration, engaging discussions, practical examples, and a detailed case study, participants will learn how causal thinking improves both how work is done and why outcomes—good or bad—occur.

She has worked with industry leading companies such as Shell and NOVA Chemicals, gaining extensive expertise in learning from failure and organizational development. Throughout Zoë’s career, she has explored in depth the three pillars of performance improvement including analysis, learning and sustainable solutions and, working with leadership teams, created sustained improved performance.
