About the Speaker: 

Richard Scaife is a director at the Keil Centre, a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and a Chartered Ergonomics and Human Factors Specialist, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors and a Chartered Scientist.

Richard specializes in all aspects of human factors, particularly organizational safety, human safety analysis (including human error) and incident investigation.

Canada’s wildfire season has become a growing concern over the last several years—while wildfires can occur year-round, the season typically peaks in spring and summer.

Join Energy Safety Canada for a webinar featuring guest speakers Connor Wollis from Alberta Forestry and Parks and James Bergen from the Prince George Fire Centre. They will discuss forecasts for the wildfire season, expectations for response and recovery, regulatory requirements, and essential mitigation measures to help you prepare for the upcoming season.

About the speakers:  

Connor Wollis is a Wildfire and Land Management Specialist with Alberta Forestry and Parks. He coordinates provincial landscape wildfire risk programs, which include working with industry partners to reduce risk to their employees and operations. He is a Registered Professional Forester in Alberta and has worked in various areas of Wildfire Management since 1998. 

James Bergen is the Senior Wildfire Officer, Prevention, PGFC, with extensive experience in wildfire response in and around the energy industry, working in wildfire and emergency response since 1997. Based in Fort St. John, BC, James is a Certified Incident Commander Type 2 (IC2), Certified Regional Wildfire Coordination Officer (RWCO), is an active Smokejumper, Smokejumper spotter, Operations Chief, Zone wildfire Coordination Officer (ZWCO) and Response Officer (RO).
