CAOEC Service Rig Competency Assessors


This course is specifically designed for Field Superintendents and Rig Managers working within the Well Servicing Division of the Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors (CAOEC).

This training course will equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a certified Competency Assessor and effectively implement the CAOEC's competency assessment guidelines.

  • Upon successful completion of this course, the worker's Training Record will reflect a valid completion as an assessor with the ability to submit CAOEC assessments for the company.
  • There is no exam for this course
  • To continue to be a valid assessor, the assessor must complete at least one assessment every three years
  • Classes begin at 8:00 a.m. sharp and may continue beyond 4:30 p.m. MT

Requirements

  • Currently employed with a service rig contractor
  • Be at the Field Superintendent or Rig Manager level
  • Government-issued photo ID
  • Students must be adequately prepared to participate in English for required course elements
