CAOEC Service Rig Competency Assessors


This course teaches field superintendents and rig managers, in the well servicing division of the CAOEC, how to become an assessor and learn the guidelines for completing a competency assessment for a floorhand, derrickman or a driller.

Upon Completion

Upon successful completion of this course, the worker's record of training will reflect a valid completion as an assessor. In order to continue to be a valid assessor, the assessor must complete at least one assessment every three years.

Prerequisites

  • Must be currently employed with a service rig contractor
  • Must be at the Field Superintendent or Rig Manager level

Equipment Requirements for Virtual Course:

  • A currently supported version of your operating System for Windows or Apple
  • Stable internet connection with a supported web browser
  • Web Camera
  • Speakers / Microphone (headset recommended)
  • Government-issued, photo ID
  • Printer to print the certificate after successfully completing the course
  • Latest version of Zoom - as well as an account with Zoom

Notes

  • Students must be on time and present for all course content instruction. Students who miss any course content cannot be certified and registration fees will not be reimbursed as per the Cancellation Policy
  • Course duration may continue beyond 4:30 pm.
  • There is no certificate issued for this course. Successful assessors will have a record of completion and the ability to submit CAOEC assessments for the company.
