Energy Safety Canada’s Common Safety Orientation (CSO) course is now available. It has been updated with the collective input of the CSO Industry Working Group including industry members from Industry Trade Associations, Advisory Committees and the Safety Standards Council.

Developed by industry, for industry, the CSO continues to equip workers with foundational safety knowledge to support mobility and site readiness. The updated version introduces key safety tools, including the Energy Wheel and 10 Life Saving Rules, to strengthen hazard awareness and prevent serious incidents and fatalities. Current certifications remain valid, and recertification is not required.
