ESC safety insights now available through the Energy Institute

March 22, 2023

Energy Safety Canada (ESC) and the Energy Institute (EI) are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to share energy industry incident learnings. With this MOU in place, ESC will begin sharing their learnings through EI’s Toolbox application.

Toolbox quickly connects workers from around the world to health and safety insights from leading energy companies. ESC is the newest partner with Toolbox and joins bp, Chevron, ExxonMobil, G+ Global Offshore Wind Health and Safety Organisation, Lloyds Register Foundation, Phillip 66, Repsol, Shell, European Process Safety Centre and TotalEnergies.

ESC is the national safety association for the energy industry. With roots dating back to 1949, the organization has a long history of supporting every sector in the energy industry. ESC is a not-for-profit and registered charity that creates ready-made resources to help keep workers safe, reduce unnecessary costs and, ultimately, improve safety performance.

Based in the UK, EI is the chartered professional membership body for people who work across the world of energy. Their purpose is creating a better energy future for our members and society by accelerating a just global energy transition to net zero.
