Jim Greenwood Takes on the Role of Vice President, Operations with the Retirement of Ron Genereux

Energy Safety Canada is pleased to announce and welcome James (Jim) Greenwood as Vice President, Operations effective today.

Jim has a wealth of experience in the oil and gas industry’s services sector, having spent more than 20 years in progressive quality, health, safety and environment management and leadership roles.

As a vice president with Trican Well Service, Jim was responsible for the development of a global vision and strategy for service quality, safety performance improvements and environmental management.

Similarly, as Health, Safety and Environment Director at Baker Hughes Canada, Jim implemented a harmonized health, safety and environmental management system.

Most recently, as Director, Quality, Health, Safety and Environment at Acciona Infrastructure Canada, in Fort St. John, B.C., Jim led a team of more than 100 professional and technical personnel in providing quality, health, safety, environmental and information management services.

Jim takes on the role of Vice President, Operations at Energy Safety Canada with the retirement of Ron Genereux who was seconded from Suncor a year ago to champion operational performance following the merger of OSSA and Enform. Ron will officially retire on December 31, 2018 from both his role at Energy Safety Canada and the leadership team at Suncor.

Ron worked tirelessly to ensure the successful merger of OSSA and Enform before joining Energy Safety Canada full time. Energy Safety Canada has not only benefited from his leadership in striving for operational excellence but from his support and promotion of staff professional development.

With a track record of driving performance improvements, Jim is well-positioned to continue Ron’s strong operations leadership.
