This document is based on the Enform Wildlife Awareness Course, including Bear Awareness. It also incorporates information from the CAGC's Bear Hazard Response Guideline. It covers:
- Roles and responsibilities for prime contractors, employers and workers
- Applicable regulations
- Planning for working around wildlife, and an overview of wildlife behaviour
- Wildlife Risk Matrix
In addition, the appendices provide practical tools, available below, including sample forms, tables on legislation, and a poster. The appendices also include fact sheets on working around large ungulates (elk, deer, etc.) as well as zoonoses (ticks, mosquitoes, etc.).
