Silica Awareness Training
Silica is the second most common mineral on earth. It comes in many forms with crystalline silica being the most common and the most dangerous to your health.
Due to the nature of your work, you may be exposed to silica in several different areas. This course defines silica and identifies where it is found. Participants will learn the potential health effects of silica exposure, how to prevent silica exposure, and when it is necessary to wear respiratory protection.
- Upon successful completion of this course, a certificate that does not expire will be available to print
- Passing grade on exam 70%
- Participants are given five attempts at the final exam. It is strongly recommended to review all course material between attempts. If all attempts are unsuccessful, re-registration into the course is required. Fees will apply
- Students have access to the course for 90 days from initial registration. If not completed within that time, registration fees will not be reimbursed see Cancelation Policy
