The deadline to apply for this program is January 31, 2024.

Action Plan Program

Eligible companies can use an Action Plan in lieu of a maintenance audits to maintain their COR.

Benefits

Action Plans map out a process for addressing gaps identified in previous audits and are an effective way for companies to maintain their COR while actively enhancing their safety program.

Eligible employers must:

  • Have a current, regular COR.
  • Be in a maintenance year and have completed one full, three-year COR audit cycle.
  • Achieved 85% or higher as an overall score on their last certification audit or 80% or higher in the previous year's Action Plan, if applicable.
  • Apply and receive ESC's approval to use an Action Plan.
  • Submit their Action Plan application no later than January 31, 2024

ESC's resource centre offers guidance on the proposal and submission stages, as well as building and submitting your Action Plan.

Please Note: WorkSafeBC does not participate in the Action Plan Program. Employers holding a BC COR must submit a regular maintenance audit to maintain their certification.
