Energy Safety Canada is seeking experienced commercial drivers to participate in an interview that examines the factors that contribute to long-term safe driving performance.
The organization is looking to interview between 80 and 120 drivers from 20 to 30 companies who operate commercial vehicles as part of their work activities. Eligible participants must have between 5 to 10 years of driving experience and no incident reports of any kind through police or regulatory agencies.
Drivers from a range of sectors and vehicle types are encouraged to participate, including:
- Service rigs
- Crew pickup trucks
- Fuel, water, and chemical haulers
- Commercial buses
- Heavy haul trucks
- Hot shot vehicles
- Other related commercial vehicles
Participants will complete a brief online interview consisting of 10 open-ended questions through Microsoft Teams. The interviews will focus on the behaviours, actions, routines and habits that drivers believe have contributed to their continued safe driving performance while operating on public roads for work purposes.
