Energy Safety Canada is pleased to welcome Kevin Ryczak as our new Vice President, Business Services, effective September 14, 2026. Kevin succeeds Steve Suto, who is retiring after more than eight years with the organization.

Kevin brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across entrepreneurial ventures and global energy organizations, with a focus on enterprise-wide corporate services. He joins ESC from REV, where, as Director of Shared Services, he established and scaled the finance, HR and IT functions during a period of significant growth. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Repsol and Talisman Energy, leading process and performance initiatives that delivered measurable efficiencies across the business.

Kevin's commitment to developing high-performing teams and to the safety of the industry positions him well to advance ESC’s vision of becoming a globally respected and trusted health and safety association.

Kevin steps into a role shaped by Steve Suto since he joined ESC in May 2018. Steve arrived to lead our finance team, and, over the years, his role evolved to encompass Business Services across the organization and serve as our Chief Privacy Officer.

Steve's financial stewardship has been a constant through years of growth and change, and his strategic thinking helped shape decisions well beyond his own portfolio. He has been a steady presence at the leadership table, known for asking the difficult questions, taking the long view and consistently placing the organization's interests first. He has also been a dedicated coach and mentor, and the careers he has helped develop across ESC may prove to be his most enduring contribution.

This role concludes a distinguished career, and we are grateful that it was spent here. Please join us in thanking Steve for eight years of exceptional leadership and in wishing him every success and happiness in his retirement.
