H2S Alive®


This course shows workers how to work safely in and around Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) environments.

Training on how to protect yourself is crucial in any industry where H2S might be encountered. This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to help identify and detect H2S, mitigate the hazards of working in an H2S environment, and respond to an incident involving an H2S release. It includes both theory and practical application exercises.

  • Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a Certificate that is valid for three years
  • Passing grade on exam 70%
  • Attendance and full participation are mandatory (see Cancellation Policy)
  • Classes begin at 8:00 a.m. sharp and may continue beyond 4:30 p.m. MT

Requirements

  • Participants must be able to demonstrate:
    • Putting on a mask and breathe under air
    • Physically participate in rescue drag techniques and donning/doffing an SCBA
  • Government-issued photo ID
  • Students must be adequately prepared to participate in English for required course elements
