Health & Safety Committees and Representatives (HSCR)


This online course is designed to give Health and Safety Committees (HSCs) and Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) an understanding of their legislated duties and responsibilities under Alberta's OHS legislation. The course builds upon the content from Introduction to Health and Safety Committees and Representatives (IHSCR), and introduces concepts related to hazard assessment and control, inspections, and incident investigations. This online course is approved by the Government of Alberta for the training of HSCs/HSRs and has been updated to reflect regulatory changes introduced in January 2020. It takes approximately six to eight hours to complete and may be completed over multiple sessions at the learner’s own pace.

Upon Completion

Upon successful completion of this course a Certificate of Completion is available to print. There is no recertification requirement for this course.
