April 1, 2013
We are pleased to inform you that effective April 1, 2013 the Petroleum Human Resource Council (PHRC) joins Enform Canada.
Under the leadership of Cheryl Knight we look forward to growing the contribution of this new PHRC division of Enform in several important areas which serve the upstream oil and gas industry. Cheryl will report to Cameron MacGillivray, President and CEO of Enform, in her role as Executive Director - PHRC Division of Enform.
For 12 years PHRC has served as an important resource to the oil and gas sector. Through consultation with industry and other stakeholders it was determined that industry would be best served if PHRC’s valuable contribution was to continue through integration with Enform. This is a positive initiative for the oil and gas sector and for Enform which has enjoyed a lengthy relationship with PHRC, including sharing office space in Calgary.
PHRC brings to Enform key programs and services such as its Labour Market Information and Careers in Oil and Gas programs. PHRC will provide Enform with important data, information and expertise to identify workplace issues, priorities and approaches to address workforce and skill shortages, and, importantly, will help further align Enform’s safety and training services and programs with the changing needs of industry. Finally, this move will provide broader opportunity for Enform to connect and partner with post-secondary institutions and government and public and private-sector organizations.
